There’s an interesting post today on authors’ experience of Amazon ads.
Vijay Kerji asked about others’ success stories and disappointments, and Emma Sharp replied with really helpful comments.
She finds Amazon ads patchy. Using sponsored product ads on the UK site gives ‘…a reasonable uplift in sales and also KENP reads.’
With a modest daily budget of £5 (or dollar equivalent) she has had less success on the US site, and speculates that you need a bigger budget to get a meaningful return.
‘I understand some people are throwing serious cash at these in the US, thousands of dollars.’ That makes it difficult to compete.
